Welcome to CRUX Climbing, bringing rock climbing to the LGBTQ community of New York since 2008!

CRUX Climbing is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization based in New York City that is dedicated to promoting athletic competition and fostering mental, emotional and physical health within the LGBTQ community through rock climbing. We aim to:

• Encourage competitive participation in local, national and international sporting competitions and events,
• Fundraise to support local and national LGBTQ organizations,
• Provide programming to support at-risk LGBTQ youth,
• Increase LGBTQ visibility within the sporting community,
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment for members of the LGBTQ community to encourage participation in sports

Founded as a volunteer organization in 2008, CRUX has grown to become the largest LGBTQ rock climbing organization in the United States, providing a variety of avenues for members of the LGBTQ population to participate and compete in rock climbing. CRUX has developed programming specifically for at-risk LGBTQ youth and hosts fundraising events to support other LGBTQ organizations that are working with these populations.
