Benefits of membership

Outdoor Events (all outdoor trips are for members only)

Day and weekend trips to the Gunks, multi-day trips to Rumney, NH, the New River Gorge, WV, and the Adirondacks, NY, bouldering in Central Park, Fort Tryon and Long Island, sport and top-rope climbing at West Point.

Climbing Team

This summer will see the start of a new CRUX climbing team for members who want to commit to pushing their climbing to the next level. Training sessions will be held weekly in NYC. More details to come…

Monthly Technique Class

For members who want to improve but can’t commit to the team. These small monthly clinics will focus on different aspects of bouldering and top-rope techniques.

Social Events

Movie nights, non-climbing events, special access/reserved seating/discounted tickets to the Banff Mountain Film Festival, the UBC Bouldering Championships and other events.

CRUX Nametag 

Get a rainbow nametag while you can! Starting in May nametags will no longer have the rainbow logo. Sign up in April if you want a rainbow!

CRUX runs on the support of volunteers and membership fees. We hope that you’ll join us as a member and help us continue to grow CRUX and the LGBTQ climbing community of New York!
