Julian Andrews
President, Board of Directors
Julian (he/him) is a Brooklynite who enjoys graphic novels, photography, dance, and travel. He started climbing with Crux in its early days and has been serving as the Board President and Outreach Committee Chairperson since 2018. Catch him at Movement Gowanus, Red Rocks National Park, or at the annual Radical Climbing Festival in New Hampshire.
Lyndon Cudlitz
Liaison to The NY State LGBTQ Health & Human Services Network
Capital Region Director
With over 20 years of experience in social justice facilitation and services for LGBTQ+ individuals and their loved ones, Lyndon delivers customized training and technical assistance in the education, healthcare, nonprofit, business, government, and recreation sectors.
Lyndon's background also includes sexual health education, services for survivors of violence, Deaf services, 10 years as a firefighter/EMT, and founding & directing youth leadership programs in Maine, New York, and Missouri. When not in front of an audience, Lyndon can often be found climbing rock faces across the country.
Jacob Rodriguez
Secretary, Board of Directors
Jacob (he/him) hails from Colorado and is an avid outdoorsman, hiker, and reader. He started climbing in college and has been hooked ever since. He currently works in business development at a midsized PR & Marketing agency and lives with his fiance part-time in Hell's Kitchen and part time in Pine Bush in the foothills of the Shawangunks.
Traci Lawson

Outdoor Coordinator
Traci (she/her) is a long time Bronx resident, and a designer in tech. She got hooked on outdoor climbing as a young Girl Scout but didn’t climb regularly until she joined Crux in 2014. Traci is often found in the Gunks, and at Movement LIC.
Matt Mager
Indoor Director
Matt Mager (or just Mager) (He/him) is originally from Fredonia, NY but has lived in NYC since 2001, currently residing in Brooklyn. He both began climbing and found Crux in 2012 and has never looked back. Queer climbing has since become a huge part of both his social and recreational life, he has climbed all over the US and lots of places around the world both indoors and outside. Mager prefers rope to bouldering (but will do both!), leads sport and trad, and will occasionally top rope on ice.
Clinton Nguyen
Indoor Coordinator – Movement Harlem
Clinton Nguyen (he/him) is from Boston and first got into climbing in 2018. He got into outdoor climbing a year later in spring of 2019, and splits his time equally between bouldering, sport climbing, and soon, trad. He has strong, unsubstantiated opinions about carabiner designs.

Jean Runnells
Indoor Coordinator – Movement Gowanus, (not-cis) Admin
Jean Runnells (she/they) from Brooklyn, is a Jersey girl at heart who has been casting about the hills of the North America since she was 8. She started climbing in 2006 and hasn’t stopped since. Trad at the Gunks and sport at Rumney are her ideas of a perfect weekend, she also loves trekking, kayaking, skiing, and is newer to ice!

Membership Services
Sarah (she/her) is a long-time NYC resident, currently living in Brooklyn. She started climbing in 2008 after finding Crux and has enjoyed being a part of both ever since. Loves climbing indoors and out, bouldering, sport and 5.fun trad. Outside of Crux, much of her time is focused on working as an attorney assisting clients with their immigration related needs.
